The farm began in 1979 by growing vegetables, which were taken to the Cape Town market in a blue 1963 Chevrolet truck. The restaurant is now the home of classic farm-style cooking, a nostalgic farm stall and home-made South African bakes. The blue truck is still used on the farm.
