About
Ceres Cascade Farms runs two farms with a combined 1 317 hectares near Ceres, Western Cape. Montana was inherited from the previous generation, when it was a stock farm. Cascade was bought in 1984 and houses the business administration. The land is mountainous and dry, so water is carried from distant sources through pipelines and canals. Montana now hosts the packhouse and cooling facilities for both farms. The farms produce pome fruit, stone fruit and beef cows, and the high-rainfall Cascade site faces flooding from its rivers in the wet winter months.
