The Ceres Tourism Bureau gives visitors information about Ceres in the Western Cape. The valley can be reached through Michell's Pass, Theronsberg Pass and Gydo Pass. It produces some of the finest deciduous fruit in South Africa, along with fresh and dried fruit, fruit juices and natural spring water. Although the town is small, it has plenty of local and nearby activities for people of all ages. In winter the surrounding mountains are often snow-covered, and the area is sometimes called Little Switzerland. The Ceres district has four areas, each with its own character.
