River Rock Lodge is on a branch of the Vaal River, only five minutes from the centre of Parys in the Free State. The 10-hectare estate has three untouched islands before the mainstream to explore. Guests may hear birds and the fish eagle, and may see monkeys making their way towards the mountains. The lodge offers seven river front chalets and cabins that each accommodate two guests, and three double-sized garden view chalets that also take two guests each. The lodge sits conveniently on the road between Bloemfontein and Johannesburg, roughly an hour's drive from Johannesburg.
