The Voet van Afrika Marathon is a road race with trail sections in the Overberg, welcoming runners to Bredasdorp and Napier. It is billed as Africa's southernmost marathon, and runners pass through farmland and fynbos, over mountains and sometimes through streams, on tar roads and farm roads. The marathon and half marathon have been rated among the best organised events in South Africa. Thousands of supporters cheer along the route.
