About
Koelfontein is a fruit farm in the Warm Bokkeveld, in the Ceres valley of the Western Cape. The Conradie family has farmed the land since 1832, and the farm has been held by seven generations of the family. Fruit farming is the central focus. The farm supplies fresh, dried and canned fruit locally and to export markets abroad. A small amount of wine grapes is grown too, and the award-winning wines carry the farm's own brand. The historic Die Kloof farmhouse has been renovated as a self-catering cottage. The farm takes its name from a natural spring on the property.
