About
The Albany Museum in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape, is marking 170 years of heritage and discovery, a place where people, nature and history come alive. Its Earth in Space exhibit includes a working Foucault pendulum and real meteorite specimens that show the planet's place in the cosmos. The museum also invests in its own staff. Two colleagues recently gained skills through the Eastcape Training Centre, including specialised welding that will let the museum carry out essential repairs in-house, and a 45-day Occupational Level 4 certificate in carpentry. The museum says it is working toward a stronger, more sustainable future for itself and its community.
