About
Glamosa Glass runs a factory in Estcourt, KwaZulu-Natal, which was built in 1970. The company began by making glass mosaics, which it no longer produces, although it can still supply coloured glass cullet on request. From 1980 it made lamp shade glass, and it now specialises in opaline and flint glass lamp shades and light fixture items. Some items are made on semi-automated machines, while others are mouth-blown by hand, including candle shades, vases and art glass. Since 2009 it has also made short-run custom glass containers, developed from concept to finished product. The company aims to be environmentally sustainable and socially responsible.
