About
Makabongwe Pre-School is in the vibrant heart of Durban. It was started in 1995 by two women from Manning Road Methodist Church, who believed no child should grow up unable to read. The school has served the inner-city community for nearly 30 years, mainly children of street traders from Warwick Triangle. Today it teaches more than 180 learners each year, with a focus on academic skills and whole child development. Donors can sponsor a child's annual education costs, which cover tuition, books, uniforms and meals.
