Big Tree House is a self-catering lodge overlooking the Knysna Lagoon in Knysna, Western Cape. Four timber-framed units celebrate the town's long connection with timber and the Knysna forest, with views over the lagoon and through the Knysna Heads. Every unit has gas stoves, lights and an inverter and battery system that keeps the Wi-Fi and TV on during power outages. Units have private decks, braai facilities, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi, and the lodge has private, secure off-street parking. Knysna is about midway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth and a base for the Garden Route.
