Bovlei Guest Farm lies about 10 km outside Clanwilliam in the Western Cape, reached by a gravel road from the town. The farm has six rooms and has been run by the same family for several generations. Its citrus orchard produces navels, valencias, white grapefruit and naartjies, and an old mill beside the farmhouse once served the farmers of the kloof. Hiking routes of one to three days start at the front door and lead to Toringkop, the Krakadouw Mountains, God's Window and the Biedouw Valley. Guests can also swim in the Jan Dissels River, and flowers bloom from early August to mid-September in a good year.
